What drives a 16 and 65-year old around the bend?

Apparently, the answer is a Honda Civic.

Recently, Kanetix.ca took a closer look at the new vehicles quoted online for car insurance in 2008 to see what vehicles appear to be most popular among 16, 25, 45 and 65-year olds. Surprisingly, the number one car quoted was the same for each age; the Honda Civic. Looks like a 16-year old has a lot more in common with a 65-year old than you would think.

There were only two other cars common to each age group; in no particular order, they were Mazda’s Mazda3 and Toyota's Yaris.

As you can see, at 25, drivers start to look at more than compacts and subcompacts. With the introduction of the mid-sized Versa and the full-sized Accord into the mix, 25-year olds are possibly starting their families and looking for a car to accommodate this shift in lifestyle.
